National Catholic pro-life champion and spokeswoman Janet A. Morana will be on Oahu this month for a string of speaking engagements.
Morana is the associate director of Priests for Life and assistant to the national director, Father Frank Pavone. She is also co-founder of the Silent No More awareness campaign, a national effort to help women who have had abortions share their testimonies.
Here is a partial schedule of her activities while in Hawaii:

n Aug. 16-17: speaker, after 5 p.m. Mass, Saturday, and 7, 9 and 11a.m. Masses, Sunday; Sacred Heart Parish, Honolulu
n Aug. 17: speaker, Pearson Foundation Pregnancy Center fundraiser, 1:30 p.m., St. Ann Church, Kaneohe; after 5 p.m. Mass
n Aug. 18: speaker, Hawaii Right to Life fundraiser, 7 p.m., International Baptist Church, 20 Dowsett Ave., Honolulu
The Brooklyn-born Morana is a former N.Y. public school teacher who has been heavily involved in pro-life activities since 1989.
In addition to helping Father Pavone, she has crisscrossed the country giving pro-life training seminars for the laity, and representing Priests for Life at local and national conferences.
As the organization’s associate director, she is featured on Father Pavone’s EWTN Defending Life Series and is co-host and producer on the Sky Angel Network’s Gospel of Life, and gives media interviews.
She is also a certified catechist and an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist.
